Adinkra Knowledge and Power Part I.
Give me a second to discuss something that’s realer than the T.V screen. Adinkra Symbology- Adinkra symbols of West Africa were created by the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire then later developed by the Asante people of Ghana. Adinkra Means (Goodbye) Why? Because back then Adinkra symbols were only used during important ceremonies such as funerals and religious celebrations. They were the exclusive rite of the most important people like spiritual leaders and royalty. Today its used by everyone and popular in the culture. The beauty of Adinkra Symbols are they are authentic to Africa and its people there is pride attached to it. This is why you can see a couple people above with the symbols tatted on their bodies.
Some of The most popular symbols are: 
"Sankofa"- Go back and Fetch It , there is wisdom in learning from the past and building a future, study your history , learn  about your ancestors.
"Gye Nyame" which means FEAR no one/nothing except GOD.
"DWENNIMMEN"(Rams Horns)-symbol of humility together with strength. The ram will fight fiercely against an adversary, but it also submits humbly to slaughter, emphasizing that even the strong need to be humble.
